Our counselling workshops and seminars
Improve your counselling skills and life skills
We offer a wide range of workshops to help you improve your counselling and skills relating to counselling. These collaborative learning seminars give students the chance to learn from each other as well as the tutor, helping you prepare for your career in counselling in the future.
Our workshop topics:
Mental, emotional and psychological wellbeing:
We host seminars and workshops designed to help counsellors and other professionals maintain mental, emotional and psychological wellbeing, and avoid becoming overly affected by the issues their clients/patients may be going through, while still keeping a caring demeanour.
Improving confidence:
Confidence doesn't have to be loud. Believing in your knowledge, your ability, and yourself as a person stands out a mile, and this belief will reflect on your colleagues, clients and your work.
Assertiveness skills:
Whether you need to guide conversations with patients or help them to manage conflict in their own lives, assertiveness skills are vital life skills that many people miss out on, and consequently they miss out on many other things too. We provide a complete overview of how to assert yourself in a multitude of situations.
Managing anxiety and depression:
Being self-aware of your anxiety and depression is the first step towards managing it. We teach you a range of techniques to break the cognitive cycles of anxiety and depression, and keep problematic thoughts at bay.
Trauma awareness:
Trauma can be caused by many events. Some events that traumatise us or our patients may not even register as traumatic, because they may be seen as trivial. Trauma has no time for outside opinion, and it is vital to recognise where it has occurred so it may be dealt with.
